This is the super-secret Isinglass MP3-EP download page. Isinglass
was a interesting duo from NW Washington, DC. Erica and Christian
lived in a house in which they ran a small art gallery and hosted
music shows. After attending and playing at this gallery, I began
to realise the latent talent these two had.
The Beechfields was scheduled to release an EP of their stuff
and we began recording at some very interesting and meditative
sessions in Dec, 2004. The house itself served as the setting
and inspiration for the EP, as it was a victorian-esque connection
between civil-war era Washington and modern progressive-movement
New York City. The sessions were very difficult to get from a
performance standpoint because everything was done live, but they
were never draining — at times, even restorative.
We recorded hours of tape, but Erica moved to Washington state
before the record could be completed, so we present you with a
blurry snapshot of the splendor that was not to be. Download this
almost-EP at your pleasure. We hope you enjoy. |
